I bought a beautiful book today at Scarthin Books* in Cromford. It's 'Apple Pie' by Kate Greenaway, complete with pen and ink illustrations. The inscription inside says - 'Bridget, with love from Uncle Ronald and Aunt Isabel, Christmas 1947'.
Apparently this book was originally published in 1886.
